Public Art
DISPLACEMENT
2018 Bondi Sculpture by the Sea SubmissionAn ephemeral public art installation of tree stumps formed using the sand at the beach representing unseen deforestation and displacement of wildlife, but in this case, us, the sunbathers.
The stumps are imagined to be interactive and degrade with touch to weather away gradually disappearing back into the beach until the space is returned back to the public.
ANOTHER MOON
Creative Lakes Initiative SubmissionA whimsical kinetic sculpture inspired by the site's proximity to water and the cycles of the moon and tide.
The sculpture creates a visual connection between the tide and moon phases. Like many planets with multiple moons orbiting at different speeds, the sculpture gives earth another moon which cycle is caused by the tide.
STAY WITH ME
Bankstown Urban ActivationsMagnification being the lowest form exaggeration, I recycled and scaled up my bamboo light, added proximity sensors and turned it into a responsive public art submission.
